If I had to select one word to describe myself it would be, curious. Lucky for me there is no word limit here. As a kid I used to pack a notebook and pencil into a small brown suitcase; with my neon orange walkman at hand, I’d get lost for hours in the backyard (well at least until the sun went down, because I was truly convinced that the Chupacabras lived in our backyard) fantasizing and “writing” about my “journeys” and “brilliant ideas.” Today, not much has changed; I still love embarking on adventures, I still love to write about my random ideas, the walkman is now an ipod, and while I now know the Chupacabras did not live in our backyard, gullible will forever be my middle name.

I was born, raised and currently live in Southern California (some might debate it to be the Central Coast). No, I don’t surf but I do L-O-V-E the beach and I try to go as much as possible. I absolutely adore music; I’d say I have a pretty eclectic ear. Learning to DJ is definitely on my bucket list. I have a weakness for classical cars; I dream of one day restoring a 1968 Ford Mustang. A true nerd at heart I love all things techy and the game Scrabble. I have an obsession for nail polish and finding ways to make my own beauty products. I heart making veggie juices. Baseball and soccer are the only sports I watch. Reality tv and ABC Family shows are my guilty pleasures.

I obtained my BA at Cal State Long Beach. Majored in Journalism/Public Relations with a minor in Web and technology. I work as a marketing/community outreach assistant at a hospital. Health education and community outreach are my passion. I plan on enrolling in grad school within the next year to obtain a masters degree in public health.

Overall, I aim to be an easy-going, caring and genuine person. I’m very excited for what will come in this blog and collaborating with Cat.
