Foto Friday: Marvelous Meelah

Happy Friday!

Story behind foto: Meelah is my first fur baby ever. We rescued her when she was less than five months old and she has been such a joy. I do not know what it is about cats, but they have such a personality, which makes them a lot of fun. She crack’s me up! At the moment (while I am writing this blog post) she is laying on our bed watching TV with her poppa. When I took the foto above, Ryan and I were watching TV in the living room and Meelah kept looking at us, stretching her little body and just “calling” out for our attention. I finally gave in, took several fotos, and then rubbed her little body.  This was definitely a mellow moment, she usually get a little hyper toward the end of the day. She will run “laps” from the living room all the way to the bedroom and back, it is hilarious! Oh, Meelah, silly kitty. We love you.

Foto Friday: Winter Sunset

Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week and have an even better weekend.

As I mentioned last week, Ryan and I spent time in Tahoe a few weeks ago, here is another foto from our trip.

Story behind foto: took the foto a few days into our trip after it had been snowing for about two days straight. We decided to put on our snow clothes, layers were necessary, and take a “walk” outside the condo where we stayed. For me it had been at least 4 years since I had seen or touched snow, to say the least I was very excited. We got in touch with our inner child and had a snowball fight; it was so much fun! Once that was over I took foto’s and here is one taken toward the end of our walk.

And if you must know… yes, we made snow angels too.

Cristy’s Favorites:

Victoria Secrets PINK – Fresh & Clean body mist is my favorite 2012 scent. It smells just as fresh and clean as the name implies.

Lancome Hypnose mascara is hands down one of the greatest mascaras ever. I love how it lengthens without leaving clumps behind. It’s a bit on the pricy side but worth every dollar.

e.l.f. cream eyeliner pot is my favorite form of eyeliner. It doesn’t run like most liquid liners and most importantly you get a great quality product for only $3.

Avon smooth minerals blush is fabulous. It doesn’t wear off easily and feels so light.

Mary Kay oil-free eye makeup remover is a product I discovered during the last month of 2012, but I can say I love the product. Not only us it dry but it makes my skin feel hydrated.

Sexy Hair Organic leave-in conditioner has proven to protect my hair for excessive damage. I literally have not had o have hair trims as often.

Foto Friday: Winter Walk

Happy New Year!!! Hope you had a wonderful holiday season surrounded by family, friends and loved ones.  The beginning of a new year always inspires me to create new memories, to grow as an individual, and to gain wisdom.  Wish you all an awesome 2013!!

Here’s the first Foto Friday of 2013:

Story Behind Foto: last month Ryan, my boyfriend, and I took a trip to Tahoe, Calif. During our week stay we explored South Lake Tahoe, however, we did not ski nor snowboard because there was little snow. Because we were unable to do typical snowy weather activities we did a lot of low key type of activities such as going on walks and hanging out in the casinos. Oh, and eating a lot of pizza and locally brewed beer, yum. Moving on, on day two we took a little walk in low 30s degree weather, I understand this may be the norm for some, but for me it was super cold temperature. It was actually really nice, I went off the trail and took some amazing photos this is one of my favorites.
